I love Lego. Always have. There’s something about watching something take shape, one brick at a time, that I find satisfying. Habits work the same way. Each small action is a brick. It’s not much on its own, but stack enough of them together and you’ve built something you can’t imagine not having.
I run every day. I have done for over five years. I didn’t wake up one morning and decide to run thousands of miles. I just kept running, day after day, until it stopped being a decision. It’s just what I do now.
I read five pages of non-fiction every day. The kind of books that used to look great on a shelf and stay there. Now I work through them.
One thing. Every day. That’s it.

Who am I?
I’m Fiona, a habits coach based near Glasgow. I’m a qualified Life Coach and NLP Practitioner with a degree in Psychology and over 20 years of marketing experience. I’m also a Chartered Marketer and a qualified run coach, which probably explains the daily running.
The psychology degree came about because I decided I had enough spare time between my day job and my evening and weekend work. I didn’t. But what I did find was a fascination for habits, motivation, and behaviour change that hasn’t left me.
I set up The Habit Hacker because I kept seeing the same pattern; capable, driven people who know exactly what they want to do and can’t quite make it happen. Not through lack of ambition. They just haven’t found a way to make the right actions stick.
my story.
Almost eight years ago I started a new job. It was going to be my last in my marketing career. It wasn’t. Why? Because I didn’t take action.
Eight years of procrastinating. Eight years of putting things off until tomorrow. It wasn’t me. I still thought of myself as a marketer. I didn’t talk about coaching because I didn’t see myself that way. Identity is hard to see when you’re in it.
I got qualified. And was still just building a business in my head. Not in real life.
Eventually, I committed fully to coaching and aligned my actions and my identity with my goals. Getting things out of my head and into something I could take small steps on each day. Habits.
I wish I’d known eight years ago what I know now. It really didn’t have to take that long.
That’s how I work with clients. No shortcuts. No overnight transformations. Just sustainable steps that are aligned with the decision you’ve already made.
who do I work with?
Mostly business owners and people building something for themselves who feel like they’re going round in circles. They have the ideas and the drive. The problem isn’t motivation, it’s the difference between knowing what to do and consistently doing it.
I also work with people who are close to giving up on something they really care about. They’ve tried things. Things haven’t worked. And somewhere along the way they’ve started to wonder if they’re the problem. Usually, they’re not.
‘I just need to be more disciplined’ is normally a sign the habits aren’t set up right, not that something’s missing in you.
how we work together.
Using habits science and NLP, we get to the bottom of what’s really going on and build something that fits you. Not a generic system. Not a morning routine if you’re not a morning person.
I don’t give advice and I don’t push you towards answers I’ve already decided on. There are no right or wrong ways to do this, just what works for you, in your life, with your energy.
We work on stopping the habits that are holding you back just as much as starting new ones. I usually find it’s both.
